Where art history comes to life
The Museum of the Nötscher Kreis
In the middle of the idyllic village of Nötsch in the Gailtal valley is a special place of Austrian art history: the Museum of the Nötscher Kreis. With its opening on May 16, 1998, the museum became a home for Austrian art, which was shaped by four painter friends in particular. Today's museum was once even the birthplace of one of the artists - Franz Wiegele.
The historic building itself tells the story of art history - and today offers space for annually changing exhibitions. Works from private and public collections are on display.
