The largest ski resort in central Carinthia offers not only wide downhill pistes and one of the best ski schools in the region, but also an abundance of snow: owing to the latest snow cannon techniques, it ipossible to ski here, on the south side of the Alps, from December to the beginning of April. The Dobratsch nature reserve and the Alpen Arena are recommended for ski tourers and winter hikers.
