One of the most beautiful via ferrata in Carinthia
Via Ferrata - Rotschitza-Klamm
After a short hike from the starting point at the panoramic restaurant Baumgartnerhof, you reach the slightly challenging via ferrata at the Rotschitza waterfall - an adventure that is only recommended for experienced climbers. The climb is 350 meters long and covers a height difference of around 290 meters. The entrance is on the left bank, right at the foot of the impressive waterfall.
A breathtaking view opens up from the very first few meters. A rope bridge crosses the stream at a height of around six meters and offers a spectacular view of the turquoise-blue lake Faaker See. Continue to the second rope bridge, where you cross the stream again and approach the next section.
The trail leads to the first weir, follows the course of the stream and finally leaves the stream bed at a second weir. After this challenging tour, a well-deserved mountaineering snack awaits you at the Baumgartnerhof - the perfect end to an unforgettable climbing experience.
