Bad Bleiberg Miners' Path - Stollenwanderweg

Bad Bleiberg Miners' Path (Stollenwanderweg) in the Bad Bleiberg high valley is a circular hiking trail and was set up by the Miners' Cultural Association. It leads for approx. 4.5 km along the Erzberg and offers insights into the mining tradition of the Bleiberg Valley through old tunnels.

Along the way, you can find out about various topics such as minerals, the history of mining, thermal water and healing climate tunnels. Comfortable, sunny resting places with wonderful views invite you to linger. The 5-kilometre circular route of the gallery hiking trail takes you along the historic water pipeline trail at an altitude of over 1,000 meters on the sunny side of the Bleiberger Hochtal valley. Half of the original 50 tunnels along the trail are still visible and marked today - from centuries-old narrow sloping tunnels to the large cross-sections of the 20th century.

The history of blasting technology and its development in the valley are presented in the former "Ramser Pulverturm", which has been converted into a museum. The latest attraction is the "Kladnig-Keusche", a historic miner's dwelling. The hike (2 to 3 hours) provides an impressive insight into the rich mining tradition of Bleiberg. In addition, the underground world can be visited in the Terra Mystica and Terra Montana.
